February 27-March 3rd marks National Invasive Species Awareness Week. Florida is a state on the front lines of defense against invasive species ranging from the Burmese python running amok in the Everglades, terrestrial plants like the Brazilian Pepper, which chokes out native species lowering the biodiversity of some of our most important ecosystems.
