Worker Protection and Industrial Hygiene
Protecting Workers is the Law – And Good for Business.
Ask the Experts at EEC About Industrial Hygiene.
The U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulates industrial settings in terms of the pollutants generated in the air that workers encounter, as well as other hazards in the workplace.
• EEC can sample both ambient air and personnel air monitors for evidence of workplace contaminants. If the results exceed OSHA action levels, ventilation system improvements may be required, or workers may need to respirators during their work shift. EEC can assess the problem and provide solutions to ensure breathable air.
• EEC can help industries comply with the OSHA Hazard Communication Rule, which requires employers to inform workers about all workplace chemicals and train them to protect themselves from hazardous exposure.
