Project: Eastwood Estates Mobile Home Park
Scope of Work: Site Engineering
Overview:
This project required a wastewater connection to Hillsborough County’s Collection System. An existing mobile home park with 160 mobile homes was originally connected to an on-site wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). First, it was necessary to obtain a service request approval from Hillsborough County Public Utilities. At the time, the existing master lift station pumped flow to the WWTP. The system remained operational until all changes could be made. A new private pumping station was designed with 19Hp submersible wastewater pumps. A Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) utility permit was required for all work in the right-of-way. Since the force main was to be dedicated to the public utilities for operation, the system in the right-of-way had to be installed, inspected, tested, and approved by the County. The private pumping station was added with 750 ft of on-site piping and 800 ft of US41 ROW piping to the point of connection.
